The Highline - 505W19

505 West 19th Street, a new ground up development, is the result of a 3-parcel assemblage by HFZ in partnership with the Carlyle Group. It was ingeniously conceived by architect Thomas Juul-Hansen as a single building with its entrance lobby under Manhattan’s new High Line Park and two 10-story towers rising above it on either side. Daring and innovative, it sets a new standard of engaging modernism in one of New York’s most vibrant re-imagined neighborhoods.

505 West 19th Street, designed inside and out by Thomas Juul-Hansen, will be a 123,000 gross square foot structure consisting of 35 residences – a townhouse, duplexes, penthouses and one, two, three, and four bedroom units – in addition to three residential enclosed parking spaces and approximately 10,000 square feet of retail space on 10th Avenue.

The transformation of the High Line from an historic rail viaduct landmark into a first-of-it’s kind aerial public park has revitalized West Chelsea as a mecca of art and progressive architecture. High Line Park is a striking setting for 505 West 19th Street. The building will not just overlook it, but embrace it, offering its residents endlessly arresting and seasonally changing views of the beautifully landscaped park and its nearly-continuous parade of visitors, as well as New York City, the Hudson River and the Statue of Liberty.
